Position Description
Position: Floor covering installers
Type of employment: Full time; Permanent
No of positions: 2
Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, Greater, Vancouver, and Fraser Valley in BC.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $36.60 per hour
Overtime and Vacation Pay

Relocation assistance of up to $1500.00 will be provided to qualified candidates.
Referral incentives of $1000.00 CAD will be paid to any current employee who refers a candidate, and the company hires them.
Role and Responsibilities
Measure and mark floor areas to determine layout and material requirements for each installation project.
Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying underlay or padding to create a smooth, even surface.
Cut and fit flooring materials such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile according to job specifications.
Apply adhesives, bonding agents, or fasteners and use appropriate hand and power tools to install flooring securely and accurately.
Stretch and align materials using knee kickers, power stretchers, or rollers to ensure tight, wrinkle-free installations.
Trim excess materials and fit flooring neatly around walls, doorways, staircases, and fixtures.
Install moldings, transition strips, baseboards, and stair components to achieve a professional finished appearance.
Inspect completed work to confirm quality, uniformity, and compliance with safety and client standards.
Repair, replace, or refinish damaged sections of existing flooring when required.
Maintain tools and work areas in clean, organized condition while adhering to all safety procedures
Communicate with supervisors, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and meet project deadlines.
Job requirements
Completion of secondary school.
2-3 years of apprenticeship program or 3 years of work experience in trade.
Trade certification for floor covering is an asset.
A strong work ethic and a genuine desire to deliver quality workmanship.
Proficient in using flooring hand and power tools, adhesives, and measuring instruments.
Ability to read and follow floor plans, layouts, and specifications accurately.
Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, lifting materials, and working efficiently on residential and commercial sites.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
Able to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
