Assistant Manager - Food Services

Banh Mi Saigon is a family-run Vietnamese sandwich shop located on Victoria Drive in Vancouver, BC. We specialize in authentic Banh Mi, crafted with unique ingredients, including specialty meats and hams. In addition to our signature sandwiches, we offer a variety of desserts. We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Assistant Manager - Food Services to help support our growing business.
We offer
:  C$35.00/hr (30-40hrs/wk) with 4% paid vacation. Overtime will be calculated after 40hrs.

Employment requirements:
Completion of secondary school.
Certification from a culinary school is an asset.
1-2 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
Availability to work on weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
:
Assist the manager oversee and manage the daily operations of a Vietnamese subs store.
Handle customer complaints and ensure that health and safety rules are followed.
Manage inventory, track sales, and adjust procedures and prices for different types of Vietnamese subs and desserts.
Decide on the types of services to offer and set up simple, efficient procedures for a fast-paced food environment.
Assist with hiring, training, and supervising staff, including scheduling and managing performance.
Work with suppliers to get high-quality ingredients, food items, and other necessary supplies.
